You're not getting carried away there? That said, coming from a girl who was saying she "didn't like Cotillard as an actress" but "admitted she was a hard-worker" a little time ago... I must take it seriously. LOL :lol

Ok for the performance but what about those early complaints that the movie isn't easy to get for those unaware of Piaf's life, that it doesn't respect chronology etc...? :rolleyes

I'm floored by Melody Nelson 69's comment. That Marion will win a Csar is a foregone conclusion unless she does something to piss off the french academy which I doubt, but I was wondering if she could be nominated for an Oscar. The movie is the opening film at Berlin.

I'll have to wait til next month like everyone else but I'm really looking forward to this movie. She's a really good actress and I'm happy that she's going to receive even more recognition for this than in "Dimanche" cuz the girl deserves it.

Coup de Coeur it's possible that Marion Cotillard could get an oscar nod (unlikely that she'll win though). Recently the oscars have been nominating actresses in non-english speaking roles. Penelope Cruz is going to get a nomination for her work in Volver this year and last year (or was it the year before that?) Catalina Sandino Moreno was nominated for Maria Full of Grace.
