It was in 1991, during a pause on the shooting of "Arizona dream". I fell for his work at first even though I couldn't understand all the words, I felt like I could deeply understand it through his music, his voice or its intonation. Since my moving in Paris, in 1998, I really became an addict of his work and I've really done my best to understand or at least try to understand his words. Since that it's been a kind of revelation. I found a dimension far beyond of everything I could have ever imagined. He is so witty, so quick and so smart. To me Gainsbourg is a kind of untouchable. And most of all, he is the one who has said the most beautiful sentence I've ever heard in my whole life "Ugliness has this so superior to beauty and that is it lasts forever". Isn't that wonderful ? It was live and maybe with bruel or someone...some french guy. It's not the duet at your current club. At one point it was at your first club, but I can't find it. Do you know what I'm talking about?

La ballade de Johnny Jane I am a big fan of female vocals. so this gets points right off the start. The two ladies' voices sound very good together. I have no idea what they are saying but it sounds very nice. Not only are their voices lovely to begin with but they play very well off one another. I like the live feeling of this song. it's such a lighthearted piano melody. I can't say it sounds like anything else I have heard thus far. The piano sounds like a keyboard. They sound like they are having fun and well, so am i. Sea Sex and Sun i think this song is humorous. hooray for the disco beat and the sarcastic sounding guitar or keyboard. it kind of reminds me of what a funky duck would sound like. hehhhehe. of course i have no idea what the deep male voice person is saying. sounds like he is enjoying himself. hehehe. the erotic voices interlude sounds funny too. i wonder when this song was made. i like the simple punch of the snare drum. one of the ladies voices seems to waiver a bit in this tune. i'm assuming it's not the same ladies singing this song? well i guess i'll have to get some more!! First, this is not off topic because: - Vanessa was the last artist to have worked with Serge Gainsbourg (he wrote her 1991 album "Variation sur le mme t'aime") before his death. - Charlotte Gainsbourg mentionned Vanessa several times in interviews saying how she admires her - Vanessa often compares herself to Jane Birkin (regarding the size of her breasts lol) - Kate Barry (Jane's first daughter) photographed Vanessa last year for DS magazine Concerning your question, could you be a little more specific? lol I mean, Vanessa did tons of duets for live tv shows or benefit concerts... Actually, her most magic moments have often been these duets.
