Anyone remembers the tv film "The Challengers" ("Marie et sa bande" in French) - 1989? It was about a girl who pretends to be a boy to join some band... loved it! My favorite theme songs were "Different strokes" and "Bewitched" and "Who's the boss' As for cartoons, i pretty much knew by heart the songs for "Jeanne et Serge" (actually we sang that one about kids in love at school, changing the names lol), "Creamy", "Clmentine", "Inspecteur gadget", "Les Snorky", "T'as le bonjour d'Albert", "Embrasse moi Lucile", "Candy", "Vanessa et la magie des rves", "Princesse Sarah", "Vas-y Julie", "Suzy aux fleurs magiques", "Nicky Larson", "Cynthia", "Les chevaliers du zodiaque", "Bibifoc", "Flo et les Robinson suisses", "Les cits d'or","Les mondes engloutis", "Bioman"... hum, pretty much all of the japanese ones listed actually lol I even have the mp3 But i think my very favorite cartoon was "B.C.B.G" lol I don't remember if you lived in America or in France when you were a kid coupdecoeur? So there you have it, Alyssa, Lisa and Justine, the prettiest girls in 80's TV! Everybody in my class had a crush on Alyssa Milano. I remember watching re-runs of tomboy Sam growing up into gorgeous Sam and thinking she was the prettiest girl in the world. I was always happy whenever the Sam episodes came on because they were kinda rare, but at least not as rare as the Jonathan or Mona episodes. And those 80's outfits with the shoulder pads and leg warmers were hilarious. but then I also had big 80's hair when I was a little boy so I shouldn't talk. And to this day, I'm still thankful that my parents never gave me mullet hair. :

Glen Cove, Long Island to be exact. yeah, I remember those Sam episodes with her girlfriends Marci, Charlie and the ditzy Bonnie. ah, nice memories. they were more fun than the ones with her dorky boyfriends, none of whom were ever good enough for her (in my book, and Tony's as well). : since you've brought up 80's fashion, remember the Members Only jackets : acid-wash jeans : leg warmers : Flashdance/the Beals look : breakdancing pants : New Balance sneakers : the feathered hair, the mullet and other hairstyles : almost forgot, I also liked the "Silver Spoons" theme.

I can't anymore.) Let's see..... Good or bad, i can't judge them now because they have a special place in my memories... I know some ones are really bad, but i just loved them at that time. - THE SOUND OF MUSIC (1965) is probably the first movie (i mean with real actors, before that, i liked only cartoons) I really liked. I saw it when i was staying at a friend's home (during vacations) and i remember we watched it everyday. She loaned it to me when i came back home and i watched it over and over. I was in love with this story. I dreamt to live in that big family with lot of kids (isn't it the dream of every only girl), it made me dream even more than MARY POPPINS (1964) that i liked a lot. In primary school, i always watched those (bad) movies when i was at Marilyn, my best friend's home, we had the videos of: - THE GOONIES (1985) - GREMLINS (1984) - THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS (1982) Waaoh, this one scared me so much!!!! I had to search the american name cause i had no idea what it was (the French one is "The eyes of the forest"), i didn't even know if it was a real movie or just a TV movie, and i had no idea it was a Disney movie. - MAC AND ME (1988 ) Man, this ET was so cute! and so was the pink car with the swimming pool at the back at the end of the film.:-) - ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN (1975) (I had to search for the American title for this one too... Disney film again? huh!). The little blonde girl was so cute! I used to watch her in a TV show on Sunday morning too (can't remember the name though but i remembered the name of the girl was Kim).... Ah memories! :-) and maybe i dreamt but remember the kids had amazing bedrooms in that film. Something like icecreams in the room etc... - WEIRD SCIENCE (1985) - EXPLORERS (1985) I often watched it but i have absolutely no memory of the movie. - NEVERENDING STORY (1984) - THE ICE QUEEN i'm pretty sure it was a German "fairy tale" It was about a boy who lived in the sky with a sort of godmother.... When, he jumped on a sort of bed, he could decide the weather on the earth (he loved to make snow).... but the problem is that he couldn't grow up, he was eternal in the sky....so, he decided to leave the sky when he met love (i'm not sure about that though) to live on earth. - WILLOW (1988 ) - E.T, 1982 (of course) - WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT (1988 ) - GHOSTBUSTERS 2 (1989) (the weird actor from Ally McBeal scared the hell out of me in that film!) - HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS (1989) - DIRTY DANCING (1987) End of primary school, Beginning of junior high: - MY GIRL (1991) How could I forget My girl ? I know every line of this movie! I loved it! It was SO sad! - BACK TO THE FUTURE 1&2&3 (1985, 89, 90) - CURLY SUE (1991) oh that was so cool, the little actress was a real cutie and the end was very sad when they cut her hair! - DANCE TIL' DAWN (1988 ) , TV I hadn't the video but i watched it each time they aired it on TV. At that time, Allyssa Milano was my idol ! Plus, there were all those actors from the sitcoms i used to watch (Growing Pains, Cosby Show, Married with children etc...) - DREAM DATE (1989), TV with the girl from the Cosby Show, again the story of a girl whom the father is overprotective (i wonder what it tells about me lol!) - SHE'S OUT OF CONTROL (1989) The French title was "Don't touch my daughter", similar story that "She's all that", with Tony Miccelli (hehe) and the woman from 7th Heaven. - LOOK WHO'S TALKING 1&2 (1989,90) - HOME ALONE (1990) - PRETTY WOMAN (1990) I still know it by heart. I loved the French voice of Julia Roberts! - GHOST (1990) HIgh school, French movies: - GENIAL MES PARENTS DIVORCENT (="Great, my parents are divorcing" ) , 1990. The n1 film i watched the most in my entire life! I still know the lines by heart. I watched it everyday during one year (in 6th grade). I was totally obsessed with it! Everywhere i went, i hope i would meet the main actor, i was in love with him. I wanted people to call me "Penelope" like his girlfriend in the film. I wanted to look exactly like her etc...lol - L'EFFRONTEE (aka Impudent girl), 1985 I always watched it in 7th grade with Charlotte Gainsbourg... :-) - MON PERE CE HEROS (aka MY FATHER THIS HEROS), 1991 the original French movie with Marie Gillain, not the American remake with Katherine Heigl. Then, my obsession for Sophie Marceau started the summer before my 12th birthday.... long obsession! I saw all her movies at that time. Now, i'm completely cured: i don't like her movies except those 4 cheesy ones: - LA BOUM(aka The Party), 1980 I saw La Boum1&2 thousands of times in 7 and 8th grade, (i even dreamt of Sophie Marceau as Vic, her character in La Boum, which means she was 13 in my dream although she was at least 10 years older in real life! lol - LA BOUM 2 (aka The Party 2), 1982 - L'ETUDIANTE (aka The Student), 1988 A sort of sequel of La Boum1&2: same leading actress (but her characters are different though), same director and same composer. - POUR SACHA (aka FOR SACHA), 1991 Takes place during the war in Israel, heartbreaking! - FANFAN, 1993

Roseanne was joined by co-stars John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, as well as the three original actors to play the Conner kids: Alicia Goranson, Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman. "Honestly, this has already surpassed everything I kind of hoped for tonight," noted Fishman, who played the young son D.J. and now, at age 23, has two children of his own. "Just being together, the time that we got to kind of spend waiting to do this, and walking down together," he continued. "I mean, this fills a little void that I had for a while and that I probably couldn't put my finger on. It's been amazing." Sara Gilbert, who played daughter Darlene, noted, "It's unbelievable to see everybody. I mean, I'm so excited. I can't wait to get in there and start talking. Gilbert is preparing for a new sitcom with Melanie Griffith and Mark Linn-Baker, "Twins," to debut this fall on The WB network. Roseanne, 52, said she keeps in touch with the individual cast members, but was eager to see everyone in the same place. She also was excited about "bowling and having a beer. Having fun." The four-disk "Roseanne: The Complete First Season" contains 23 episodes plus a bounty of extras, including bloopers, season highlights and other features. Roseanne contributed a new interview to the DVD set, as did Goodman, who reminisced with AP about the series' out-of-the-gate success. "It just kind of took off," he recalled. "It felt right. It was fun. And that was that. I said, 'You know, I'm having all this fun and getting paid for it.'" The series is widely regarded as a classic, redefining the way working-class families were portrayed on television and breaking many sitcom boundaries. "I think it changed the landscape of, you know, the country, too," Roseanne observed. "It changed a lot the way people see themselves and how they make choices." Even though Roseanne usually had a job outside of the home, she could be considered contemporary TV's original desperate housewife. Replied Roseanne: "I think you stole my joke ... In fact, that's how I open my standup show: Original Desperate Housewife."
